After the candidates were presented, on the night of October 4, 2017, during the Newman Alumni Lunch, and after the votes were counted, Ricardo Ferrer Reyes, in his capacity as former President of the Association, was invited to receive the envelope. and announce the winner. When he said "Pedro Duffau", the room erupted in applause, and everyone saw him humbly rise from the table of his litter, approach the podium and receive the distinction, a recognition of life, energy, commitment to the self-improvement and self-love.
